From a working prototype to shared design
The current work includes a browser-based CAD prototype using build123d. We are developing toward a collaborative platform where people can create, save, modify, fork, remix, improve, and reuse parametric models.
OpenSCAD-style and build123d-style authoring are part of the wider product direction. Availability and supported workflows will be stated with each release.
Keep the work behind a design visible
A useful object can depend on an original idea, a base model, several improvements, and feedback from people who made it.
We want those relationships to remain understandable. That creates a place to investigate how recognition—and, in carefully designed experiments, rewards—could follow useful work through later reuse.
Connect design to production
The planned MakeLocal integration would let a particular design version and parameter set become a manufacturing input, then return useful production feedback to the design.
That connection needs source files, licenses, versions, and validation to travel with the model. A successful render alone does not establish that a part is suitable for every use, material, or machine.

0CAD receives product work and shared development capabilities from WebTree. In return, reusable design and manufacturing feedback provide a practical environment for studying contribution ancestry. See the contribution-inheritance question.
There is no public collaboration or royalty service offered on this page. A useful next contribution is a small, shareable model and a description of how it should change. Contact Max about the prototype.
